Does iCloud for Windows work on Windows 10

Well, it didn't on my PC (Win 10 Home). For some reason, it stopped working, so I deinstalled iCloud for Windows (ICW) and then reloaded iCW from the MS store. No luck. Some members reported difficulties on 2010, suggesting that ICW had difficulties with Win 10 Pro- their suggestion was to load a previous version of ICW (when it was available from Apple). I couldn't find any previous versions on the Apple ICW site, but I did have a download of ICW in my Downloads folder from 2017 onn my PC. I launched this version, made sure I still had the Outlook add-in inside Outlook.

Problem solved.

It appears to me that the version of ICW that Apple has provided to the MS store has problems that have affected scores of current Win 10 users.

I realize that this is not a problem that MS is motivated to solve, but I would expect the Apple Support organization would have looked into this. Instead, you merely give me the textbook solution that many users of the ICW have already reported as a problem. I'm disappointed that Apple couldn't solve this, but glad that I kept a download folder on my PV.

Incidentally, while the current version of ICW doesn't work on my PC (Win 10 Home), the previous version of ICW v 6.2.3.17 works just fine.
