Film-making with iphone

I am an author and independent film-maker. I was about to buy an "iPhone 12 pro Max" which I knew has the best facilities for film-making, until "iPhone 13 pro Max" came into markets.

Now it seems to me that for film-making the "iPhone 12 pro Max" is still the best, but I doubted if I'm wrong and "iPhone 13 pro Max" is better.

Anyone here could give me advice which one is better to buy?

And, Is 256 GB enough for one who is going to making movies?

Best,

Mohammad

Hello mmonem84,

We appreciate you for participating in the Apple Support Communities.

We understand wanting to make the best decision when deciding to make a purchase. While both model devices have great cameras, the Cinematic mode is only available on iPhone 13 models and could be of interest to you if you're a filmmaker. "With Cinematic mode, your iPhone 13 camera can record videos with a shallow depth of field and add beautiful focus transitions for a cinema-grade look." You can read more about this here:

Use Cinematic mode on your iPhone

As far as storage, if your main goal is video recording, you may want to get as much storage as possible. You can get up to 1 TB. You can reach out to a Specialist from the Apple Store Online at the following link if you have other questions about which model device is best for your needs:
