why can the number I blocked send me a message on my phone?

It may be a case where the texts are not actually coming from the number indicated.

You may want to contact your cellular provider as they can often block messages on their end as well.

We need more information than that.

Are they SMS (green bubble) or iMessage (blue bubble)?
