Disc stuck inside iMac

I have an old iMac that I would like to use as a second monitor. I've deleted of the important information on it's hard drive. I tried to install the original software that came with it but the disc got stuck inside the machine.I've tried 3 different ways from the tech support (How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery) in order to try to get the disc out, but nothing works. The software tries to install but stop half way (the screen reads 31 minutes to finish) and no matter what I tried, it will not continue. I really don't want to spend hundreds of dollars taking it to a local repair shop.

Any suggestions or help?

Unplug it or hold down the power button until it powers off completely.

Hold down the mouse button while turning it back on. Keep holding it down until it forces the disk to eject.
