Can I charge the new MacBook Pro (2021) using my old MagSafe2 power adapter?

Can I charge the new MacBook Pro (2021) using my old MagSafe2 power adapter (belongs to my old macbook from 2015)?

It would be nice because then I do not have to carry a power adapter when I alternate work place.

The contacts looks the same when I see them on pictures.

There are slight if not more obvious differences across various

models of portable Mac & charge technologies are concerned.

Compare your product to those shown here to see:

If yours is newest one available; and has a recent rendition of MagSafe

magnetic power ports and matching adapter, I'd be suspect if that is

actually identical enough to use from an earlier version. 'Power pins'

are spring-loaded in earlier ones; at certain specific distance apart, etc.

And if yours is extremely new (as it could, if newest & just minted)

articles across Apple Support have no uniformity; it doesn't show.

Good luck & happy trails!🌞🐝
