iPhone 13 pro voice cuts and the other person can't hear me

I have an issue where my iphone 13 pro voice cuts out on speakerphone calls, not for me, but for the person on the other phone. Anyone else having this happen? The speaker grilles are clear.

Same problem here with brand new Iphone 13 pro. Voice cuts out on speakerphone also. That is the main way I use the phone. At the moment I have to answer with it in my ear speaker and talk into the phone that way. Thsat is better for the other caller I called. But... That is NOT acceptable for a $1599. new phone as of 10 days ago!! I have appointment at the Genius bar in Knoxville today at 12:15pm. I will update this with what they say. Otherwise I will be forced to return it and go back to my Iphone 10 until I find a new one. (Hard to get right now, limited inventory.

So frustrating!

Conversation drops out, been to apple support and in store twice now, had tests ran saying could be software? Advised to set back to factory settings and reload ALL apps manually. I don’t have time nor patience for this and for over $2000:00 Aussie dollars I think Apple can do better than this! Hubby thinks it more like the antenna is not up to scratch or broken. Googled for resolution myself but seeing this forum is disappointing in regards to so many people having the same issue.

My question is” what are you going to do about it Apple”? Will you replace the phone ( I phone X 13 pro max) with the latest updated version as I’m sure there would be newer technology now .

Looking forward to your response.

iPhone 13 Pro on AT&T with the same problem as all of those listed before me. If you are using speaker phone at all, regardless of what app you choose to use, it will cut the audio in and out for the person on the other end. I have tried everything from physical cases, reseting to stock iOS, network resets, and messing with settings to no avail.

It has come glaringly obvious that this is a software/hardware issue. I’m leaning towards a hardware issue as this still hasn’t been addressed.

I am also having the same issue! I have an iPhone 13 Pro that I got in Jan and the issue is on Wi-Fi, 5G, LTE, etc and primarily on speakerphone. The person on the other end says it skips every other word! I went to the apple store several times to test the software, hardware, microphone - no issues. I factory reset my phone - still the same issue. So apple sent me a new phone. Still having the same issues. I’m out of luck here. Would love to see if they come up with a solution soon.

After 5 months of almost every call cutting in and out and about 100 hours on tech support calls and Apple Genie appointments, I found the fix - the ONLY thing that worked

.

I bought the lightning connect wired headset from Apple for $19.00 free delivery - they are called EarPods with lightning connector.

Every call using this headset is clear - sure it is old school with an $1100 phone but, it beats holding the phone or using my AirPods and having sound cut in and out. BTW here is what I had tried prior - new $299 extender (free from Verizon), new AirPods, 2 new phones (bought 2 swapped 2) and none of it worked. Went to Apple store they ran a test on new phone said nothing is wrong with it.

Good Morning JC,

My reply below is not to disrespect your comment or solution, but unfortunately that is not a Fix…. It’s a workaround.

I’m pleased that it has helped you.

What we all want is Apple to solve this issue with a permanent solution.

A solution that allows the owners of iPhone 12 and 13’s… to use their phones without this issue.

Again…. I mean no disrespect to you…. We all just want Apple to fix this.

Reading here and there, I noticed that this is a common problem. We have 2 iPhones 13 Pro Max. We tested today and, like other users in other conversations we figured out that you must speak one person at a time, because if you speak over the other person, te audio will cut in one way or in another. So, if you want to use speakerphone you must to calm down, suppress noise around you and don't talk until the other stop talking.... I found that it's a ridicolous behavior. A phone, firsly, must do calls like all others phones in the planet.

Previusly phones (iPhone 8 and XR) don't have this problem at all.

Please, let us phone like all humans in this planet with a 30$ phone. Let me Phone like my father with a Motorola Startac....Is it possible? or 1500 $ aren't enough for that?

It's ridicolous....

As an update to my previous post (turning off 5 G to make a SLIGHT improvement)….

I had complained about this new phone to Verizon and it was within the initial 30 days. They offered to send a new phone. I waited, preferring to try some other fixes to see if anything improved. I was also skeptical it would make any difference, as so many users here reported the same issues on a replacement phone.

Then a friend of mine got a new iPhone 13 Pro Max, same model as mine. He primarily uses the speakerphone for work, as do I. His new phone didn’t have the problem.

I then went back to Verizon under my original ticket and they sent me a new phone. This new phone doesn’t have the problem. That was evident from the first call.

I have saved my identifying numbers from the first phone…..perhaps there was a large batch that had this issue, and the newer batches don’t. I don’t know if there is any way for us afflicted users to compare our serial numbers on the problem phones…..

I am almost certain that the radio antennas are/were bad.

This is happening on my phone as well since I got it- iphone 13 pro. Anytime I am on speaker and not holding the phone next to my mouth it cuts out.

My mother just got one too last week and was on facetime and hers was doing the same time.

Very frustrating to spend so much on a phone and have such a bad problem.

Has anyone actually found a solution?
