iPhone 13 pro voice cuts and the other person can't hear me

I have an issue where my iphone 13 pro voice cuts out on speakerphone calls, not for me, but for the person on the other phone. Anyone else having this happen? The speaker grilles are clear.

Same problem here with brand new Iphone 13 pro. Voice cuts out on speakerphone also. That is the main way I use the phone. At the moment I have to answer with it in my ear speaker and talk into the phone that way. Thsat is better for the other caller I called. But... That is NOT acceptable for a $1599. new phone as of 10 days ago!! I have appointment at the Genius bar in Knoxville today at 12:15pm. I will update this with what they say. Otherwise I will be forced to return it and go back to my Iphone 10 until I find a new one. (Hard to get right now, limited inventory.

So frustrating!

I bought a lightning port EarPod set for $19 on Apple.com it arrived 2 days later. No cutting out on any calls with the wired ear piece. Must plug into charging port so make sure you purchase lightning port set.

This id not a resolution per say but my calls are all crystal clear not one broken call since. BTW my two airpod sets which are relatively new are now useless.

Just so you all know, I subscribe to this thread so I get emails every time a new comment is posted. I’ve seen over a handful of comments that I came to respond to and they have been deleted. The people who left the comments said they were simply suggestions to Apple that could actually resolve the problem.

Apple should do something about this, I agree. As I mentioned before, I had a replacement phone sent from Verizon and I don’t have the problem anymore. I think there were a bad batch of phones with some hardware issue - either the radio antenna or the speaker.

I know it’s not as simple as getting a new phone for people. However, if you just bought it and there is a return policy still in effect, you should try!

I’m really glad your issue has been resolved, but thousands of us have had our devices replaced, some more than three times. The iPhone 11, 12 and 13 models all have this issue. Unfortunately that means it’s inherently going to happen with all batches of these phones. I wonder if Apple took away the noise cancellation option in the iPhone 13 as a way to try and quietly address the issue? Even though it never solved the problem.

Hey All! - This could be a carrier issue, which would include environmental factors. When making calls, the service provider would connect you to the person that you’re calling. Once, the both parties are connected, the call is held by the service provider. This could vary between different providers. Now, environmental speaking, if there’s a storm, this could potentially affect the call between the both parties.

Making that all bars on the top right of the phone display is full is vital for a successful conversation over the phone.

Hope this helped anyone.

I exchanged my iPhone 13 twice because everyone is complaining about my voice cutting out when I’m on speaker . I also. Have called apple support and they can’t seem to find the issue .I called my provider and they can’t seem to help and keep saying their are. O issues with the 13 . Apple keeps saying they heard of no issues

You mentioned iPods. Other people have mention having success using iPods as well.

Which brings me to this point…. IPods have 3 variations of Noice Cancellation settings on them.

They removed the noice cancellation features from the iPhone 13.

Is NC the culprit???

May very well could be.

Something else… I read the following in an article about iPhone 13:

“The company did, however, add a noise isolation feature this year, designed to distinguish the user’s voice from background sounds. But, the feature is only allotted for FaceTime calls.”

Facetime calls from our Daughters iPhone 13 Max Pro, to our iPhone 8’s, is when the audio drops happen. But it’s like it happens on our end. If we mute our phone on our end, the audio drops go away. It’s so strange…. But very annoying.

I’m so frustrated by the end of the call, that I’m ready to end the conversation.
