iPhone 13 pro voice cuts and the other person can't hear me

I have an issue where my iphone 13 pro voice cuts out on speakerphone calls, not for me, but for the person on the other phone. Anyone else having this happen? The speaker grilles are clear.

Same problem here with brand new Iphone 13 pro. Voice cuts out on speakerphone also. That is the main way I use the phone. At the moment I have to answer with it in my ear speaker and talk into the phone that way. Thsat is better for the other caller I called. But... That is NOT acceptable for a $1599. new phone as of 10 days ago!! I have appointment at the Genius bar in Knoxville today at 12:15pm. I will update this with what they say. Otherwise I will be forced to return it and go back to my Iphone 10 until I find a new one. (Hard to get right now, limited inventory.

So frustrating!

Yes, had to post it in 6 PARTS... this forum doesn't allow for long post... also didn't let me offer the images of my phone now with the new case I modified or the accessories I bought to wipe out it overheating all the time...

It should be under

SOUND DISTORTION PLUS OVERHEAT FIX PART1/6

Again... look at all six parts to understand what I finally did... no one has accused me of having a glitched voice... no voice.. or living in a cave...

Best wishes to you!

Both my husband and I have an I phone 13, only mine is a Pro Max. We have the exact problem, the speaker cuts in and out. He took it to Apple and ATT and they each blamed it on the other. There was no resolution. We both need this feature for our work. It’s really sad to me Apple won’t take ownership and stand behind their product and get it right. They seem to work more on the camera each year than the actual phone and its ability to hold up in conversations. Please Apple, make quality your preference, not quantity!

I couldn't agree more... however, FIRST I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH APPLE... only because some of the responses I received don't seem to come from an apple user. I had a conversation with a supervisor after I couldn't get my phone to stop cancelling what I had set up for notifications. We drifted onto this topic... he listened to what spawned my I phone's fix... how I fixed it... by the end he was thanking me for my insight... I assured him I'm not an engineer it just made since to me. My 2nd I believe post under a different subject... same topic... sound distortion... I vented my concerns about the lack of "support from the manufactures"... I still don't believe I should have to come here to ask non-Apple technicians... engineers... if there's any fix. My post never made it... not technically specific. As I stated in 6 parts I made, only due to allowed characters, I did have pictures of each final case accessory modification I made. Regardless of how anyone uses their phone... these days have a phone is paramount... when I was far younger a "pay phone" was on every corner... times have changed... I refuse to buy another phone... I don't waste money on upgrading a camera I rarely use.

If you checked the 6 parts... start to finish... perhaps it may help you have some peace and quiet... listening to "your glitch y... I can't understand you... etc.", became deafening to hear.

I added a “new” iPhone 13 to our account after my wife upgraded to a 14. They (Verizon) offered to upgrade my 6S+ to a 13 for a discount. My 6S worked fine but having 16 GB total storage was far outdated, so I decided to do it. As I updated and added all of the apps I wanted I actually started using the phone to call people and noticed that no one could understand my voice because the signal seemed to break up and scramble each call when I used the speakerphone. I tried all of the different fixes I found on the Apple site but nothing seemed to work. I decided that I wanted to make a switch to a 14 since my wife has no problem with hers.

I bought the Apple EarPods and they worked great. No problems with talking. It’s better than speakerphone and never breaks up. I had to find a solution because Apple flatly refused to take my phone back without paying for it first. (About 600 dollars). This was not an option for me so I found this as the only answer to my problem.

Good Luck…

W Owens, first thank you for reading what works for me. Today I made one more modification... I turned off the vibration feature. I don't live in a Earthquake or Tsunami area, if I did, by the time one hit, it would be over.

I am 100% positive the problem is in the case, I thought I had found one pretty darn close to what I believe will fix the sound and heat problem, nope. I ended up also cutting out the flap where the charge cord goes in, the cover isn't necessary, again the phone is built resistant to the elements.

I also cut the parts out on the case I recommended I am using, it's where the holes I offered to drill out. More air, less echo, less heat.

Pods are great to escape, unfortunately, I have some and on the airplane I had to keep popping them out to hear anyone talking to me or be understand. I kinda get urked when someone is on their pods and don;t realize I can hear their conversation, folks tend to talk out loud.

I'm sure my post stated, if not here it goes, this is a problem for every smart phone using a case. Even the new Apple 14... same phone... same cases... more expensive... better camera lens.

I don't depend on luck hmm... something far greater than me and higher up.
