Finding and deleting unwanted app

This is a tough one. Several years ago, I installed one or more apps that would notify me BY VOICE when an appointment was upcoming. I don't remember all of the details, but that app has come back to haunt me, Several times each day, in a voice loud enough to interrupt my telephone calls, I'm told about an appointment with Dr. Gistaro plus recent notifications (Today, I was told about my attempt to to get a new password for Apple Support Communities.)

It seems to me that the app was somehow related to Calendar, but I have found that I cannot delete Calendar. In any event, is there any possible way that I can find and delete this annoying app? ( I think it's an app)

Hello, Niku.

If you know the name of this annoying app, check System Preferences > Notifications, look for it in the list on the left and disable the ability to notify.

Also, check System Preferences > Users & Groups to see if that app is one of the Login Items that launches when you login to your user account. If it is, then click the app to select it and then click the minus (–) button below the list to remove it. You may have to unlock that panel before you can do this.

The application itself should be located in the Applications folder of your Mac. If so, then you can likely drag the app to the trash and empty the trash. It might be that the app lives in a subfolder of the Applications folder. You can use Spotlight search to track it down. Search with Spotlight on Mac - Apple Support

If you can't find it with Spotlight, try the Find Any File utility.
