on WORK WIFI ONLY "cannot verify server identity"

Found a clear root of an ongoing issue that has riddled this forum. my iphone 9 ios 14 will send notifications, sometimes up to 20 at a time, severely hampering the use of the phone (you have to press "ok" each time). This is specific to when I am connected to the wifi at my work location, which obviously has security disabling access to my email server (in this case, outlook). It is my assumption that the ios lines up a cascade of alerts for each time it pushes email checks, to which I am compelled to clear upon unlocking the phone. The phone is completely unusable until all of these alerts have been "ok"'d.

I get it, I am totally alright with a single notification, that's fine. But every single time I unlock the phone, I am forced to clear these alerts before I can use the phone. This clearly is a serious bug as it renders the phone useless. Again, this only occurs on this specific wifi connection, I experience this at no other time or place. Can apple please for the love of god end this severe nuisance.

iPhone 7, iOS 14

I think you need to talk to your MS exchange administrator at your place of work. You may need to set up your MS mail account as Exchange type rather than Outlook.com, or vice versa.
