iPhone 12 bluetooth not connecting to car

Ive had this issue and i just solved it - i have an Acura ilx '13 and my iphone6, wife's iphone6 were paired to it...the bluetooth i mean.....i just got an iphone13 and the car's bluetooth was not recognizing my i13 - was looking for answers here and wanted to update

Mine was an acura problem but it could be an iphone problem too - what i suggest is you delete all data abt the existing iphone on your blue tooth and re-pair it with the new one - also, it helps if you give your new phone a new name and not leave it at iphone - thats what it defaults to and is may be not seeing the new one.
