Screen shuts down

Welcome to the Apple Community.

Wondering which Operating Service (iPad iOS) is installed on your iPad.

Seems you may need to change the settings for how long the screen stays bright

(ie: before the screen dims to save energy when iPad "appears" to not be in use.)

Either that, or scroll, or perform other suitable small actions now and then, while you are reading, so screen stays bright.

Sorry I don't have an iPad handy to check the possibilities, or exact settings.
