Fitness+ on Apple TV not working

Some users had to restart both devices for the pairing to work. [1] [2]

Some users had to complete the Home setup for Apple TV, and make sure to assign a HomeKit ‘Room’ for the Apple TV to make it work.

I have the same issue. What partly worked for me was to turn off my phone.

I connected then to Apple TV fitness plus and could start a workout on Apple TV with stats and burn bar.

I have all software updated on all devices.

I tried to turn off my iPhone, then do the connection with Apple TV fitness. It really worked. Thank you.

I've tried this or to turn off my iPhone completely, still can't find a way to make this work. For now I just use my iPad Fitness+ app and AirPlay to my Apple TV.
