There are two ways to convert a Pages to PDF:
1) Open Pages document with Preview, then go to "File" and choose "Export as PDF".
2) Use an online document converter like Zamzar to convert your files to PDF format.
One option is to go to File - Export To and choose PDF:

Typically when you print there is an option to print to PDF. It may be tucked away in a corner of the screen.

Only Pages can produce a PDF, whether exported or via the print panel, with the exact original document fidelity. Preview and Zamzar are not Pages and will mess up the intended appearance.
