iPhone sw Today I found in the wastebasket of my Macbook a big piece of software "iPhone_5.5_P3_15.3_19D50_Restore.ipsw" (its size is 5,97 Gb). Searching internet I found a few pieces of news and I presume it is an outcome of a firmware upgrade of my iPhone 7 plus. However I read that usually this kind of upgrades are on demand (no automatic upgrade). Moreover I presume that this upgrade should have happened while my iPhone was connected for a while through an USB cable, not just wirelessly, with my macbook. If I am right, that is awkward because my iPhone was phisically connected with Macbook a few days ago, but I found the .ipsw file today only . Can anybody explain to me what's happened or is happenig? And -last but not least- can I safely remove the .ipsw file I found in my basket or am I to save it for any future use? Thank you very much.
