Brand-new USB-C VGA Multiport-adapter not working on a brand-new M1 Pro Macbook Pro 14" As the titles states. Have tried all kinds of troubleshooting online.

It is not an Apple branded adapter. There is no Apple branded adapter for hdmi. But it was bought from the Apple store and it is supposed to be compatible with the MacBook Pro 2020 M1. It is the Satechi USB-C Multiport Pro.
