In my transfer from Android to iOS, my contacts, photos and text messages didn't transfer. How can I retrieve those?

Hi there Marleigh90,

Thanks for your post to Apple Support Communities. We understand you tried to transfer from an Android phone to your new iPhone, but some data didn't come over. First, did you use the steps in the article linked for the transfer?

Move from Android to iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you still have your Android device, you may need to erase your iPhone and do the transfer again. See this note from that article:

You might find that only some content transferred and your iOS device ran out of space, or your iOS device might appear full even though the transfer didn't finish. If so, erase your iOS device and start the transfer again. Make sure that your Android content doesn't exceed the available space on your iOS device.

Take care.

Out of all the data, the most easiest thing is to transfer the photos. You can transfer the photos via Google Photos. First, sync all the photos you have on your Android device with Google Photos app. Then, install the Google Photos on your iPhone and log in with the same Google account you were using on the Android device. After setting up the Google photos on iPhone, download all the pictures available on the Google Photos app to the device.

Coming to the text messages, if you have enabled the syncing option on Google Drive, then installing and running this app on the iPhone with the same Google account will help you to get the SMSs on this iOS device as well.

Lastly, transferring contacts. Same as Google Drive and Google Photos, Google Contacts allows you to sync all the contacts. As you are more concerned about the contacts, instead of explaining here, I would rather suggest an expert guide. Follow the methods given in this guide: Transfer Contacts From Android to iPhone 13

I hope you can now transfer data to your new iPhone.

Good luck!!
