Hi lilaya193,

Welcome to the Apple Community.

This article from Apple Support "Set up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch"

Says:

Step 3

Activate your device

You need to connect to a Wi-Fi network, a cellular network or iTunes to activate and continue setting up your device.

Tap the Wi-Fi network that you want to use or select a different option. If you're setting up an iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular), you may need to insert your iPhone SIM card or iPad SIM card first.

Get help if you can't connect to Wi-Fi or if you can't activate your iPhone.

Hold It Right There!:

Enter the passcode incorrectly too many times, and you'd likely be locked out for good. So, hold it right there, and refer to this link: If you Forgot the Passcode on your iPad, or your iPad is Disabled - Apple Support. It would be the one you've always entered. If you do not know it, then look for it in a location you may have stored it in.

If locked out...

Have any Proof of Purchase?

Unless you have the original packaging and receipt, you may be out of luck. If you do have it, however, then take this to an Apple Store, or an AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider)! and they may be able to restore it. The reason for this blockage is all about Security & Privacy.

Apple Support Contact Info:

Why the Wait:

Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

Hi Liliya,

Thanks for your response. How do you turn wifi off when your phone is not activated? Have you done activation connecting to PC or MAC or over Iphone?

Could you please guide me on this? Your help will be highly appreciated. I am desperately looking for my iphone to get activated at the earliest. Please assist.

Thanks and Regards

If your iPhone has activation lock on, and you do not know the password:

If you acquired the iPhone from someone else, you need to ask them for the password.

Else:

You need to contact Apple to have your iPhone's activation lock unlocked.

You may need to have proof of ownership for security reasons.

Turn Off Activation Lock:
