I am wanting to purchase an Apple Watch 7 GPS + Cellular, but my provider is not compatible. Does this matter? I know you can connect through Bluetooth to receive texts etc, so I am not worried about the cellular not working. Just wondering if it will still work ok without it. Thanks!
But you are paying for a cellular radio that you cannot use, except for 911 emergency calls.
Unless you want a different case, or branded model with special watch band, you are buying a radio that cannot be activated with your carrier. To use the cellular, you would have to switch your iPhone’s carrier to one that supports the Apple Watch.
