I had make backup of my iphone 6plus to my personal PC using itunes. After i do reset of my iphone and want to restore backup from PC back to my iphone, the password that i type always show incorrect password. How can i solved this problem?

Hello I had taken backup of this phone on cloud through iTunes. when i try to restore taken back up on my new phone its asking of password. when i enter my apple id password its showing wrong password. I think for itunes it was different password to taken BACKUP which i forget now. kindly help

I could not use my last back up because it require password and I don't remember putting a one! suddenly my iPhone enter recovery mood and when I connected it too iTunes it restored to factory sittings and now Im trying to backup my last backup into my phone but I could not because it keeps saying incorrect password and I DONT REMBER PUTTING A PASSWORD FOR THIS BACK UP HELP

Restore from Backup I just got a new iPhone 12. I usually plug in my new iPhone to my laptop & restore from backup & use it. But this time, when I entered the requested password, it says password incorrect. The password is for the Apple ID, right? I was able to sign in to iTunes (so my password is correct!). I re-entered the same password again but it still doesn't work. I don't understand what's wrong.

Did you encrypt the backup, which might be a different password?

Backups - encrypted backups in iTunes.

Did you set a different password than you normally use?
