OK to upgrade to Big Sur?
I have a Mac 2011 21.5" High Sierra 10.13.6 with upgraded memory board & fan.
Can this Mac be upgraded to Big Sur?
iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13
Sorry, no, 10.13.6 is as far as we can go.

As I have to use McAfee on my work owned Mac, "NOOOOOOOOOO". 95% of all the problems employees have is related to McAfee. The system fans are running all the time, performance is slow, there are system panics, the firewall blocks valid web access, valid ssh access is sometimes blocked.
Look at MalwareBytes if you must have something.
