It depends on what model of iMac you have.

If you are referring to a 27" iMac then maybe. 27" iMacs have been made for well over 10 years so you need to be specific. If you decide to move forward with the RAM upgrade ONLY purchase from macsales.com or crucial.com. Why, because iMacs are VERY sensitive to using quality RAM and both vendors provide quality RAM at reasonable prices, have a lifetime warranty, support their products and well the RAM works!


NEVER EVER buy from a reseller such as E-Bay, Amazon, etc...
