Trying to remove latest series of helpful advice from phone screen so I could get to making a call I hit remove app and of course no longer have my phone app and cannot make call to new number..this is urgent.

You cannot delete the phone app from your phone. Scroll all the way to the right, to the App Library.
Look for the phone icon
Long press until the icons wiggle
Move the phone app wherever you want it
