Unable to connect Focusrite to MacBook

I recently got a MacBook retina 12inch early 2016 and this is my first MacBook ever! I have a iPad and iPhone, but after purchasing this MacBook I’m starting to regret it. Next, No matter what I do it will not let me connect my focusrite scarlet solo 2nd gen to my mac or LOGIC PRO. I’ve bought a APPLE adaptor and 2 alternatives from Amazon “Thunderbolt 3” and none of those worked! On top of that I’ve called support several times and no one can help or figure out why it’s doing that. I’ve googling this for days and days no solution. If anyone can help me please let me know what to do. I’m about ready to quit apple for good.
