Apple watch

I purchased a apple watch from an online auction. To set it up i need to put my apple ID. i put it in but i think the activation lock is on. is there anyway of removing this?

I just bought this used series 1 apple watch and as I am trying to set it up, the activation lock is still set to the previous owners icloud/apple ID and I asked them about it and they replied saying that they had takin it off of there account. I was wondering if you could take off the activation lock so I could finish setting it up.

Return the watch and get your money back,activation lock can only be removed by the person that put it on.

This watch is of no use to you.
