MacBook Pro 13 screen shuts off when opened. Can't open the screen to normal.

If you have a 2016+ MBPro with the exact same symptoms of the OP, then you most likely have a hardware issue with a known design defect. Have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider to examine the laptop to confirm a hardware issue and a repair estimate.
