Sim failure on iPhone 12 proMax while running a eSim

For no apparent reason my iPhone 12 promax is indicating a sin failure and is not connecting to the telephone at work everything else works fine but I cannot place a call or receive. While it says it is the same failure this phone has no Sim card as it’s running an AT&T eSim


nothing seems to fix it

We understand that you are getting a SIM failure message on your iPhone 12 Pro Max. You do not have a SIM in the phone and are using the eSIM. We suggest taking a look at the following support article to sort out what may be going on.


If Dual SIM with an eSIM isn't working on your iPhone - Apple Support


It may also be helpful to get with AT&T about getting a SIM card and setting that up in the phone to see if that makes a difference. It could help isolate the issue.
