Fitness App not tracking exercise minutes consistently

Here are some of my numbers, with 3.5 to 4 miles, why are the exercise so erratic?

In addition, I given up on even tracking the flights as it shows 0 to 3 regardless of number of

steps walked. Is this app even accurate or do I need to go back to a Fitbit when it is time for me

to purchase another iWatch? Do not even recommend I purchase Fitness+ App as I only walk

and that would be wasted money for me.

For the watch to count walking as exercise you need to be moving at 3.3 mph or faster on a constant bases.

I can walk for 10,000 steps and get zero minutes exercise or 80 depends on the speed I walk

Same as for flights, a flight is 10 feet or more of vertical distance. Again speed matters.
