iMac Late 2013- Monitor not working

Hi,

Recently my iMac started displaying " Blue Streaks" vertically. After numerous attempts to get the monitor working I have giving up and purchased a Mac Mini ( M1).

I need to be able to extract some data and files from my old iMac, but now sure how to " view" what is on it.

What should I do to be able to " view" what I had on my old iMac so that I can take files i need and reformat before disposing it.

Any ideas.

If you backed up the 2013 using Time Machine or another method restore from your backup.

However it sounds like you were not so your only option is to use Target Disk Mode as explained in Transfer files between two Mac computers using target disk mode - Apple Support

Good luck!
