MacBook Air vs MacBook Pro (M1)
Hi all, Im currently using a base MacBook Pro 15 inch from 2015 for my photography work. I use photoshop as my main editing software and have many layers turned on at once while I'm editing. I've noticed recently that my Mac has started to feel more sluggish and gets caught up for a few seconds when editing on photoshop and was wondering is the MacBook Pro M1 is worth the extra money over the base line MacBook Air M1.
The configuration I was looking at was an M1 MacBook with 16Gb RAM and 256GB, which is priced at £1,449. If I was to get an equivalent on the MacBook Air it would be £1,199. The only differences that would be beneficial on the MacBook Pro is the extra GPU core and fan for the cooling preventing thermal throttling as often as the Air. Is the extra features really worth an extra £300 on the Pro?
Thanks, Adam
