Watch display will not show.

I can hear my notifications from my watch, but I cannot see anything. I cannot turn it off because I can’t see what to slide over and I can’t tuen off theatre mode as I can’t see anything. It is just the black screen. I have tried the Digital Crown dial and I have also had it on the charger to see if that will help. My app said it is up to date as is my phone with the exception of updating to iOS 15?
