What is IMTransferAgent.app on my Mac?

Under "Apps that store documents and data in iCloud will appear here," I see something called IMTransferAgent.app. What is this and should I leave it checked?

I got a system notice on my MacBook Air that someone was downloading my files was on my MacBook Air M1 and got a system notice that someone was downloading files and asked if it was me. when I clicked it it disappeared. How do I determine who was doing it and turn off whatever sharing allowed it. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
