I cant activate the 6 months free Apple music trial with my new airpods 3. gen

I contacted apple customer care and turns out if you’re already subscribed you won’t be eligible for the 6 months.

This is what they told me:

I've checked further and I found out that the 6-months free Apple Music is only available if:

• The customer is a new Apple Music subscriber or canceled their Apple Music subscription more than 3 years ago.

• The customer purchased a new or refurbished AirPods 2, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, PowerBeats, Beats Solo Pro, or PowerBeats Pro.

Hi, I had that same issue with my Christmas gift. I’ve read tons of unhelpful solutions until I contacted apple directly via text message. I was told that the offer isn’t accessible to Apple ID’s that have had a previous subscription to Apple Music, including free trials. Hope this helped 🙁

For me, I tried connecting my new homepod mini with my iPhone, and then checked the music app. Nothing shows up. To fix this, I had to go to settings > music and toggle the switch for "Show Apple Music". Once I did that, the 6 month trial offer showed up in the music app right away.

Your answer doesn’t help and the link doesn’t work

Dec 25, 2021. Signed up for 6 mos free offer and it doesn’t work. Each page Apple keeps asking for standard sign up. Doesn’t know I accepted the 6 Mi offer. To heck with it Apple, you’re not worth wasting time.

Apple you’ve played a mare. Running around advertising 6 months free with new products and putting out T&C’s like that.

Spotify just gave me 3 months, I left the platform 1 month ago.

Used to a big supporter, though this mis-selling is bad form after buying the new AirPods due to the offer.

On the T&C’s via the link supplied on the offer there is no mention of being away from Apple music via 3 years.

Surely this is mis-selling?!

Yes they sure have almost scammed us. They now have no choice but to let everyone who bought new AirPods to be eligible for the trial.

There's supposed to be a card with the airpods or beats solo, I got both and there was nothing of the sort. This was the notify I got from Music:

I’m afraid not!

Same problem. "Apple recommended" answer is not helpful. Please some real help, from a human if it's possible.
