Remove or Delete tags in Notes

How to remove tags?

Answer: Delete tags AND folder used to create smart folder. It has a hidden tag (I assume).

"Remove tags from your notes

To remove a tag from the Tags browser, remove it from all of the notes that include it. To remove a tag:

  1. Go to all the notes that have the tags and remove the tags.
  2. Tap Done.

The Tags browser will only show tags that are being used within your notes. If you remove a tag from a note, it'll be removed from the Tags browser."*

*Important: This includes any folder that was converted to a tag. So if you create a smart folder (tag) from a normal folder, you must erase all instances of tags from notes AND the folder that was used to create the tag.

Someone should tell Apple this will frustrate people if not fixed.

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.

If you want to, you can send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner. Pick the closest topic you can find.
