To clear the caches in Safari, you'll probably want to enable the Develop menu in the menu bar. Click Safari > Preferences > General and make sure that "Show Develop menu in the menu bar" is check marked.


After that, emptying the Safari cache is simply a matter of selecting Develop > Empty Caches or pressing Option-Command-E (⌥⌘E)
