If it appears to have changed your password, you could try to reset it. Follow the steps outlined in this article: https://support.apple.com/kb/HT202860
Strange, but I was using the Apple wireless key board, at theme it was not being charged. So I plugged it into port and every thing went smooth as silk. I concluded that the battery was extremely low, and by initiating the charge, the keyboard was able to transmit the characters correctly. It may have been coincidence, but every thing seem good now.
