If it is possible, you would use the File > Export menu item in OpenOffice and choose Numbers or .numbers as the format in which the file is to be saved.

if Export to Numbers is NOT supported in OpenOffice, you would Export to MS Excel (.xlsx) format, then open the saved document with Numbers and save the opened document as a .numbers file.

Either of these methods require a translation of the OpenOffice document into Numbers file format (or into MS Excel format), done by OpenOffice.

The second also requires a translation of the MS Excel file into Numbers' internal format, done by Numbers.

Whether the formulas (and other factors) will survive the translation(s) depends on whether the formulas used in the original file are supported in Numbers. Those that are not will be dumped, and replaced with their last calculated result.

As OpenOffice is designed to closely resemble Excel in its handling of calculations, its conversions to MS Excel files tends to be pretty accurate.

Numbers is not designed to be an Excel clone, and although it can open an Excel file, does not carry a warranty that the translation will be 'perfect'.
