Is there a recommended password manager app

A very effective Password Manager is already built-in to your Apple devices - Apple Keychain.

Beyond Keychain, there are many third-party Password Managers. If you use Firefox or Google Chrome browser Apps, basic Password Manager functions are built-in - and are independent of Apple Keychain.

There are other well known full-feature Password Managers - such as 1Password, LastPass and Dashlane - all of which are subscription based and can be expensive.

As for recommendations, I strongly suggest that you start with Apple Keychain. It’s built-in (i.e., “native”), costs nothing to use - and synchronises across all your Apple devices. If you use a Widows 10/11 PC, your keychain can also be accessed from the PC. If not sufficient for you needs, perhaps then consider a commercial alternative.

There are many to pick from in the App Store. Your friend Google might help you check ratings and pick one that is suitable for your needs

Do your research; but from my personal experience, 1Password is my go-to. Others like LastPass are equally good and so, go with the one that works for you and how you operate. Good luck.
