iPad stuck on Apple logo - please help!

The software was being glitchy so I reset it, but the Apple logo never went away even after 5 minutes. I tried resetting it again (volume +, volume -, then hold power) but the only thing that happens is the logo goes away then shows again. It's a 2018 iPad Pro 11 inch and I really don't know what to do.

If you have a PC/Mac you can hook it up to, do it. Then once it is recognized by your PC/Mac, go about resetting it to factory default and reinstalling the OS (if needed). Beyond that, let us know what happens and we can try to help further.

If you can get it to mount on your PC/Mac, try to back it up locally first. Then go about restoring it to factory default settings, update the OS (if that's also an option) before then, attempting to restore your backup overtop.

Good luck.

Okay, make sure your MacBook Air is connected to wall power and then:

  1. Hold the needed keys on your iPad to reboot it and put it in DFU mode: https://www.imore.com/how-to-iphone-ipad-dfu-mode
  2. Once in DFU mode, it should show up on your MacBook Air's Finder.
  3. Once it is, try to back it up locally (via the Back Up Now button).
  4. Now, see if there are any updates for your iPad using the Check for Update button (after the backup is complete)
  5. If none, skip to next step. If there are, apply them and await your iPads update and reboot (you may have fixed your problem now).
  6. If there are no updates, press the Restore iPad button (drastic, I know). This will download the latest OS version update for the iPad and restore it to factory default settings, so you can the, go about setting it up again and eventually, restoring your Backup overtop of the freshly setup iPad.

Good luck and let us know.
