There's another place to find the exact same URL to download the 'Big Sur' installer.
Among items in this Support article detail, how to create bootable installer for mac.
• How to create a bootable installer for macOS - Apple Support
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201372
Has same url in blue-link namesake, as other article: macOS Big Sur
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/macos-big-sur/id1526878132?mt=12
This is used in situ to create Terminal command; as are other links.
The instruction in this article should not be confused with 'how to
get old versions of macOS'. However this provides unasked answers.
Different instructions; utilize alternate means, to make 'downloadable
installers' ~ (This supersedes 'DiskMaker X" by two macOS versions.)
Old versions of the OS are here: How to get old versions of macOS - Apple Support
I started exactly from that page: How to get old versions of macOS - Apple Support.
The Big Sur link leads into AppStore Big Sur Page, but then it is impossible to download it and the error message appears.
The Catalina download works.
Should still be working; through app store or itunes store.
And use Safari browser. ~ An issue had been bothersome to
those who'd found their 'secure certificates' were outdated.
..Affected many browsers that use parts of Safari web-kit..
I'd updated my browsers certificates a few days ago; for
Safari. Had mostly used Firefox; sometimes that works.
[Funny how Catalina downloadable-installer link works!]
..One could tell Apple about this; using Website Feedback..
Be sure to Cite Apple's webpage URL issues; with your report.
"To comment or report any problems you experienced finding
information on our website, visit the Apple Website Feedback page."
https://www.apple.com/contact/feedback/ report the page & errors
A few moments ago, I'd reported ^ some details I've heard & know.
Another way would be use Product Feedback: another aspect.
Wonder which third-party browsers could work in Apple's site?
Near 5AM here, need to try sleeping; near 20 hrs since last time.
And I've 200 miles to travel, with inclement mixed seasonal Wx.
I have the same problem. The new versions of Photoshop and Lightroom need al least Big Sur to work. But when I try to download it I have an error message and the only option for OS update is Monterey.
I can get to the Big Sur app page but clicking on "Get" only yields Update Not Found.
