Always? No. Usually? Yes. Updating iOS from 32- to 64-bit some years ago deprecated the then-old 32-bit apps. There have been other apps that have broken in more recent updates. Apps that are actively maintained do tend to be updated, and do remain available. Apps that are not, may not.

Yes, for the same iOS version number (bug fixes are included). No for new new version numbers, as the GUI (Graphical User Interface) may be a bit different.
If they are still in the new version, yes.
Could you explain this a later better, especially the part about version numbers. Perhaps you need to give examples. It is kind of an odd question.
