Quicktime video recording stops at 10:55 in MacOS Monterey

Since upgrading to MacOS Monterey, Quicktime Player now stops recording at 10 minute and 55 seconds. I can no longer record any video segments longer than that. Prior to upgrading, I routinely recorded Quicktime videos in excess of one hour.

I've confirmed that this behavior occurs both with the built-in Mac camera and an external Logitech Brio camera.

I'm now having this issue as well, immediately after installing Monterey. I used to be able to record at high and max quality for hours on end, now, no matter the settings, restarts, and then some, nothing recommended works. It always stops at 10:55. No more, no less. Please work on this...

For me, I'm using a mid-2015 15" MacBook Pro, 2.8 Ghz i7 Processor. Currently running 12.2.1. Mine completely stops at 10:55 on Maximum settings. I can now record infinitely on High in QuickTime since 12.2 came out. Just for some reason the issue remains when I go to Maximum.

Hoping this issue is fixed. Been thinking about downgrading to Big Sur until it's reported this issue is fully fixed.

February, 2022. Still having this issue. Has this really not been resolved?

The links from Apple support provided in a reply below are woefully unhelpful as they simply contain instructions for recording a movie in QuickTime, which it can be assumed we already know how to do, because we are recording them until the machine stops the recordings at 10:55.
