Mic Mode not available on macOS Monterey

Hey guys,

I'm using a MacBook Pro 2021 13" M1 w/ 16GB. Updated to macOS Monterey, but the Mic Mode is not available for switching independently of the app using the microphone (tried Zoom, Voice Memos) or headphones (tried Apple AirPods Pro and wired HyperX Cloud II).

Here is what I get in the Control Center:

Is this expected behavior? Or any suggestions for how to fix the issue?

imac 2020 internal mic not working Today during a Zoom call, I realized that my iMacs internal mic was no longer working. Ive been doing some troubleshooting, and realized that in some of the computers stock apps, the mic still works. Things like dictation, voice text messages, and siri. However, all other apps like Audacity, Zoom, Slack, etc the mic does not pick up sound. When using dictation on the text app, the input level moves up and down in preferences, but not with an app like zoom. I just updated to the newest OS version to see if that would help and it doesn't. Ive also checked my internal mics access and all apps are allowed access. I've turned the tried to create new user on my mac and see if that would change anything due to possible user settings and that has done nothing as well.

MacBook Pro internal microphone not working for zoom Internal microphone does not work for Siri/zoom, but works on FaceTime interestingly. It is three years old. Interestingly took it to Apple, they suggested a new microphone fo $600. Reset everything including SMC etc. Finally I stuck an actual 3.5mm headphone in the jack. Not really sure it was related to that. Started working again. Now two weeks later it is out again. I really think it is a hardware thing...anyone else have any ideas? thanks Nick

microphone for mac mini I have the Mac Mini and am needing to use microphone for zoom or webex calls for school. My airpods won't work--(I can hear them but they can't hear me). I purchased the Blue yeti USB microphone and it won't work. I found some work arounds, software is not loaded, I plugged it in and restarted and it still doesn't work. Is anyone out there using a USB microphone on their Mac Mini (M1) and which one are you using if it works?
