playing embedding youtube movies on powerpoint from ipad

Hello,

I am a professor and I really enjoy presenting my powerpoint slides from my ipad. However, I usually make the powerpoint slides on either my MacBook Pro or and iMAC. I frequently insert youtube videos using the insert-->video-->online move option and link to a youtube video. This way I can show the video directly from the ipad, without needing to go directly to youtube using the hyperlink. However, these movies will not play on my iPAD (the iPAD does not even recognize it is movie and instead only shows the first image) but will play on by MacBook Pro, my iMAC and even a PC.

I really need to enable this function but I cant figure out why the movies will not play. Any help would be much appreciated!
