This just started showing up and I don’t know why. Dragging it to the right opens up a skinny Safari window. I don’t normally use Safari. How can I get rid of it? Not having a clue what it is called, I had no idea how to search for an answer! 🙄

It would appear that you have setup Split View. If you tap on Safari, you should see 3 dots in the title bar. Tap on that and you will see the 3 choices you have. Full screen, half screen, or slide over. Tap that side to be able to close it, just swipe up, or tap full screen and it will allow you to close that extra tab.

Thanks for the help. That probably happened as a result of my trying to figure the “shelf” yesterday. Not at all intuitive to me. 😟
