How to stop Apple News app auto playing videos in the articles

When I’m reading news articles on the News App on my iPhone, if I’m scrolling through the article and there’s a video embedded in the article like a YouTube video, it will automatically play as soon as I get to the video. This means I can’t use the News app while lying in bed as any video automatically plays and wakes my partner up. How do I stop this from happening?

ive already tried the settings >accessibility >motion disable video previews and that was already disabled anyway so this isn’t the answer. It’s only something that is occurring on my iPhone 13, as I never had an issue previously with my XS.
