i need to download imovie it wont let me says its not compatible with my device. how do i download?
iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

Check in Apple Apps Store under User Name bottom left and see if iMovie is listed as Previous Owned. If listed it may or may not allow downloading a older version compatible with Catalina.
