iphone on chevrolet charging pad

The phones will not charge because in Apple's infinite wisdom they put the raised area around the camera section of the back of the phone thus not allowing the phone to lay flat on the charging pad. The phone will not charge because it is not in contact with the pad. great. thanks a lot Apple
