Hotspot Lag Resolved

I recently bought the iPhone 13 Pro Max. At first I was disappointed because when I used my phone as a hotspot, two issues came up. It wouldn't let me use the internet on my iphone when the hotspot was on. I had my Chromecast and Samsung tablet connected to the hotspot, and they were both lagging BADLY.

A friend gave me a suggestion that worked perfectly! I went into Settings>Cellular Data Options>Data Mode. When I first got the phone, "Allow More Data on 5G" was selected, but I switched it to the "Standard" option. I dont understand why that fixed my problems, but it did.

I couldn't find this answer online, so I am hopeful that someone else might find this information useful in the future.
