iPad - trade in Canada for store credit

I want to trade in my old iPad for an Apple store credit in Canada - when I go onto Apple Canada trade in site which directs me to “Likewise” it does not allow me to register? It asks for my email but I am not yet registered- not sure what to do? Phobio in past takes iPhones or Mac computers but not tablets. Please advise. Thx.
